CDW

CDW [Collision Damage Waiver]
CDW does not cover loss to the vehicle and its parts or accessories caused by theft, attempted theft or vandalism. CDW does not cover roof and interior.

ADW [Additional Damage Waiver]
Tyres, windscreen and oil sump are covered by ADW which can be purchased.
ADW insurance for groups A2 to D5 is £2.00 daily.

TP [Theft Protection Waiver]
TP provides protection for theft of our vehicles up to the full value of the vehicle
Plus any additional costs that might incur. Please enquire at time of rental.
Theft protection for all vehicle groups is £3.90 daily.

Insurance and Waivers do not include the following:
Baggage/Laptops/Costs in the vehicle or personal items damaged or lost as a result of a theft.
Injury or death of the driver of the rental vehicle.


All insurances exclude damage caused by driving on any loose surface roads.
Any damage thus caused will be customer's responsibility.
All types of insurance include V.A.T
No insurance is valid for the Turkish occupied area of Cyprus

Our rates include, without additional cost, civil responsibility and third party damage insurance.


The renter will be responsible for the proper use of the vehicle as the
Full compliance of the contractual obligations to which the renter is liable.
In the event of non-compliance or negligence, we may impose penalties and charges that will be applied in each case.


Damages caused to the bodywork top or bottom, windscreen, tyres,
Oil sump, as well as in the vehicles inner part, from the interior,
any missing part (documents, lighter, antenna…) or damages not
caused by a normal use, are not covered by any type of insurance and
shall be paid by the customer after the customer, who will be responsible of any
charges once they are assessed. Non-fortuitous breakdowns
and damages or loss caused to the transported goods are excluded
from the coverage of the insurance.

Theft
In case of Theft:
- You must contact the Police immediately on 112 or 199
- Call the nearest ASTRALeasing™ branch or 77 77 78 00
- You must send within 24 hours the accident report
- You MUST give back the keys of the car
In case of partial Theft:
- You must contact the Police on 112 or 199 in order to send the forensic team for fingerprints and make a complaint report.
- Call ASTRA on 77 77 78 00 and report the partial theft.
- You must fill in the accident report and send it to the nearest ASTRA branch or by fax to 22 77 26 48.

Damages & Accidents
Damages to a vehicle can be caused in any of the following three ways:
-Damage by accident with a Third Party
-Damage done by driver with no Third Party involved
-Damage done by unknown Third Party

It is important that Astra Self Drive Cars Ltd is informed of all damages when they happen.
In all above cases the procedure is standardized with little exceptions.

The information below will help you with any problems that may arise. It is imperative that ALL the procedures below are followed.
-DO NOT take the blame or responsibility.
-DO NOT sign any papers or give money to anyone.
-Inform the Police on 112 or 199
-Inform ASTRA on 77 77 78 00

Both drivers must exchange the following:
- Registration numbers of cars involved in accident
- Make & Model of cars
- Name, Surname and fathers name of driver
- Home Address
- Telephone numbers (home, work, etc)
- Company if car is owned by a company
- Insurance company and telephone number
- I.D. or Passport Number
- If you have a camera, please take a photo of the accident.

All above are to be taken to the nearest Astra Self Drive Cars Ltd branch or faxed to the Accident Department on 22 77 26 48 - attn.: Mr. George Kontos (g.kontos@astragroup.com.cy). Once all details are taken and the authorities informed, we will inform you on how to proceed for the repair of your vehicle.


Road Assistance
ASTRA provides a 24-hour road assistance service. Should you need road assistance please call 77 77 78 00. The customer service representative will require your name, vehicle registration number and contact details. In case you need to ask where your car will be transferred, please call your nearest branch or 22 55 82 28 during business hours.
